Isaiah 14:19-
22 But
thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, [
and as] the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that
go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. ... For
I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon
the name, and
remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 47:9-
14 But
these two [
things] shall come to thee
in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood:
they shall come upon thee in their perfection
for the multitude of thy sorceries, [
and] for the great abundance of thine enchantments. ... Behold,
they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame:
[there shall] not [
be] a coal to warm at, [
nor] fire to sit before it.

hold the bow and the lance:

their voice shall roar like the sea, and they
shall ride upon horses, [
every one] put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.
