have been my meat day and night, while
they continually say unto me, Where [is
] thy God?
For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled
my drink with weeping,
The things [that
] my soul refused to touch [are
] as my sorrowful meat
] the Lord give you the bread
of adversity, and the water of affliction
, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:
Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will
break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat
bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment: ... That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume
away for their iniquity.
