The will to live is one measure we use to overcome illness. A broken spirit is needed sometimes to allow God entrance into our hearts and souls. It is a wound, and a wound must be opened and emptied of the poison that keeps it from healing. God through His Holy Spirit uses the open wound to allow draining, refills it with the pure love that He gioves to us if we ask and allow.

Humans find it hard to bear broken spirits but not all broken spirits are bad it means God is able to give you His own spirit. Broken human spirit is maybe the best thing then God can create a whole new thing I would know.

I believe the Lord showed me this verse while searching for diseases that come upon you because of unforgivenss and bitterness...while looking up this in the greek - i found the spirit of a man, is that part of us that is offended, angry, bitter, hurt etc that sustains (holds onto, nourishes, supports) your sickness...so therefore when we hang onto unforgiveness, bitterness etc our spirit man nourishes that wound and therefore support or sustains our sickness....the Lord set me free with this verse for sure
