Let their table become a snare before them: and [that which should have been

] welfare, [let it become
] a trap

For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his
chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. ... For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah
be cut off, but not
for himself: and the people of the prince
that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end
thereof [shall be
a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined
And at that
time shall Michael
stand up, the great
prince which standeth for the children of thy people
: and there shall
be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even
] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written
in the book.
Joel 1:2 Hear
this, ye old
men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath
this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?
Joel 2:2 A day of darkness
and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as
the morning spread upon the mountains: a great
people and a strong; there
hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, [even

Three shepherds also I cut off in
one month; and my
soul lothed them

all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city

when he fought in the day of battle.
For, behold, the day
cometh, that shall burn
as an oven; and all the
proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it
shall leave them neither root nor branch.
heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils
; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a
testimony against them.
For the days
shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast
a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, ... And shall lay
thee even with the ground, and thy children
within thee; and they shall not leave
in thee one stone upon another; because
thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led
away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem
shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until
the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
1 Thessalonians 2:16 Forbidding
us to speak to the Gentiles that
they might be saved, to fill
up their sins alway: for
the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
we sin wilfully after
that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there
remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, ... Of how
