_ _ make a banquet — The parallelism rather supports Umbreit, “Do partners (in trade) desire to purchase him?” So the Hebrew (Deuteronomy 2:6).

_ _ merchants — literally, “Canaanites,” who were great merchants (Hosea 12:7, Margin).
