Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Commentary

Ezekiel 20:34

_ _ The Jews in exile might think themselves set free from the “rule” of God (Ezekiel 20:33); therefore, He intimates, He will reassert His right over them by chastening judgments, and these, with an ultimate view, not to destroy, but to restore them.

_ _ people — rather, “peoples.”

Matthew Henry's Commentary

See commentary on Ezekiel 20:33-44.

John Wesley's Explanatory Notes

Ezekiel 20:34

The people — Sidonians, Ammonites, Moabites, or whoever they were, to whom the apostate Jews betook themselves, where they thought to lurk, God will bring them thence into Babylonish captivity.
