Blessed [shall be
] thy basket
and thy store
Let their table become a snare before them: and [that which should have been
] for [their
] welfare, [let it become
] a trap
For the turning
away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity
of fools shall destroy them.
sown much, and bring in little; ye eat
, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages [to put it
] into a bag with holes
Then said he unto me, This [is
] the curse
that goeth forth over the face
of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off [as
] on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth
shall be cut off [as
] on that side according to it. ... I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain
in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
If ye will not hear
, and if ye will not lay
] to heart, to give
glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I
will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed
them already, because ye do not lay [it
] to heart.
But Abraham said, Son
that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good
things, and likewise
Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
