Because he hath appointed
a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by [that
] man whom he hath ordained; [whereof
] he hath given assurance
unto all [men
], in that he hath raised him from the dead.
For the Son
of man shall come in the glory of his Father with
his angels; and then
he shall reward every man according to his works.
And as he sat
upon the mount of Olives, the disciples
came unto him privately, saying, Tell
us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be
] the sign
of thy coming, and of the end
of the world?
And then shall appear the sign
of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all
the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see
the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. ... But of that day and hour knoweth no [man
], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Verily I say unto you, that
this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. ... And what I say
unto you I say unto all, Watch.
And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought
that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
And then shall they see
the Son of man coming in a cloud with
power and great glory.
2 Thessalonians 2:2
That ye be not soon shaken
in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit
, nor by word, nor by letter
as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2 Thessalonians 2:8
And then shall that
Wicked be revealed, whom
the Lord shall consume with the spirit
of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness
of his coming:
So Christ was
once offered to bear
the sins of many; and unto them
that look for him shall he appear
the second time without
sin unto salvation.
Behold, he cometh
with clouds; and every
eye shall see him, and they
] which pierced him: and all
kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
And I saw heaven
opened, and behold a white
horse; and he that sat upon him [was
] called Faithful
and True, and in
righteousness he doth judge and make war. ... And he hath on [his] vesture
and on his thigh a name written, KING
OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
